Port Insertion Drape/Pacemaker Drape
BOENMED® Port Insertion Drape/Pacemaker Drape
BOENMED manufactures Port Insertion Drape/Pacemaker Drape. This is a versatile, dual-purpose sterile drape designed to efficiently cover two related but distinct types of subcutaneous device implantation procedures. Its features are a hybrid of the needs for both workflows.
Features:
For a port insertion: Left and right fenestrations provide sterile access to both sides of the upper chest. This allows the surgeon to choose the optimal side based on vein anatomy or patient factors.
For a Pacemaker: Two fenestrations provide access to both the left and right infraclavicular areas. Pacemakers are typically implanted on the left side, but the right side must be prepped and draped as a mandatory backup site in case of unforeseen issues on the left.
Clear side pouches allow for are fluid-collection and organization.
Large-size drape creates a wide, long sterile field that covers the patient's entire torso from the neck to the abdomen. It provides ample space for the surgical instruments and the device itself.
Applications:
Totally Implantable Venous Access Port ("Port") Insertion: A small reservoir and catheter placed under the skin (usually on the chest) for long-term chemotherapy, antibiotics, or parenteral nutrition.
Pacemaker or Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD) Generator Implantation/Replacement: Placing or exchanging the battery/device unit under the skin near the collarbone.
Drape Accessories:
Two left and right fenestrations
