BOENMED® Side Drape
BOENMED manufactures Side Drape. Side Drape, also called a Fluid-Control Drape, Trough Drape, or Lateral Drape. It is primarily used to be positioned along the side of the patient's torso or limb to act as a sterile gutter or runoff channel. The drape is engineered to capture, channel, and contain fluids before they can contaminate the floor, the operating table, or the surgical team.
Functions:
Extends the Sterile Field: Seamlessly integrates non-sterile surfaces like armboards, equipment, or the patient's limbs into the sterile zone.
Provides a Sealed Incision Site: Creates a critical, watertight barrier around the surgical wound using adhesive edges to prevent fluid seepage and microbial migration.
Manages Fluids: Utilizes absorbent reinforcements and built-in troughs to soak up and channel irrigation fluid and blood away from the patient and surgical team.
Organizes Equipment: Employs hook-and-loop holders and clipping tabs to secure and route cords, tubes, and cables, preventing clutter, tripping hazards, and accidental disconnections.
Secures the Draping System: Uses adhesive edges and clipping tabs to anchor the drape firmly to the patient and operating table, preventing shifting or slipping during the procedure.
