BOENMED® Hip Split Drape

BOENMED manufactures Hip Split Drape. Hip Split Drape is a specialized draping system designed for a specific and challenging patient position in hip surgery: the supine (on the back) approach, most commonly for surgeries using an anterior or direct anterior approach (DAA) to the hip.

Features & Benefits:
Split with adhesive helps create a watertight barrier and provide unobstructed access that allows the surgeon to make an incision very close to the groin crease and work along the natural anterior muscle planes without drape interference.
Large absorbent reinforcement covers the patient's entire abdomen and chest. This pad soaks prep solution and irrigation fluid up, keeping the field dry and preventing fluid from pooling near the sealed split.
Hook-and-Loop line holders secure tubing for suction and pulsed lavage, which are used to clean the femoral canal during the procedure.
The drape is large enough to cover the patient from the upper chest to below the knees, accommodating leg manipulation during surgery and providing a wide sterile field.

Applications:
The drape is used for total hip arthroplasty (THA) and other hip procedures performed with the patient supine. The most common application is for the:
Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) Total Hip Replacement.
Hip Hemiarthroplasty via an anterior approach.
Open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of acetabular or femoral neck fractures using an anterior approach.
Hip surgery that requires concurrent access to the abdomen or pelvis.
