Bordered Silicone Foam Dressing
BOENMED Manufactures Bordered Silicone Foam Dressing. Silicone Bordered foam dressing is a unique five-layer silicone foam dressing with an additional bordered edge. It consists of an absorbent retention layer, a liquid conduction layer, and a highly absorbent foam pad, which are placed between a perforated silicone skin contact layer and a highly permeable waterproof outer polyurethane film.
A 5 Layer System
1. Silicone Wound Contact Layer and Border – soft silicone self-adherent layer with perforation technology, allowing for straightforward application without sticking to the wound bed, provides nearly painless, atraumatic removal. Once applied, it allows the exudate to quickly migrate to the layers above for fast absorption.
2. Absorbent Foam Pad – cushioning protection that provides additional comfort while offering great fluid handling capabilities.
3. Non-Woven Layer – works to spread the exudate over a wide area, helping to improve performance
4. Superabsorbent Core – fibers that draw in and hold onto exudate while reducing maceration risks
5. Protective Backing – waterproof, air-permeable film backing creates a bacterial and viral barrier, minimizing the risk of leakage, promoting high moisture vapor transmission rate, and increasing wear time.
